Crystal was 29 years old when she went missing and found murdered. She is mourned by a lot of family members, including her parents, two sisters and her two daughters, 6-year-old Abby and 2-year-old Rose., and many friends. Reportedly, from those last with Crystal, "she just walked away" into the woods. Never to be seen alive again. Per the Herald Times, Crystal Grubb was last seen by her boyfriend, Adrian Henley. Also reported to be with her was a childhood friend, Alvin Fry, along with a friend of Adrian's when she reportedly got angry and walked away from a site near an abandoned water treatment plant off North Business Ind. 37, the two-lane road leading out of Bloomington to Ind. 37. Her mother, Janice Renee Grubb, reported her missing the next day, saying her daughter never would have left her 6- and 2-year-old daughters behind.
It has also been rumored that the area she went missing from was a hot spot for meth activity. This seems to be why most think those with her lied to detectives about her last known sighting, to keep themselves safe. We continue to wait for the truth to come foward. NO suspects have been named to date.
Per the HT online, when speaking with the Monroe County Sheriffs office they were told, "Unfortunately, no one told the truth in that group,” Kennedy said, adding that investigators have been “intentionally misled,” causing “hundreds” of wasted investigative hours. Evidence has been discovered that drugs may have be used or involved. Kennedy described Grubb as a “high-risk victim,” in that she may have associated with “people who were in potentially law violation situations.” Grubb’s boyfriend, Henley, and others only cooperate with police to a point, then stop talking, Kennedy said.
